X-Ray

We have a state of the art Direct Digital X-ray system. Not only is this really cool but combined with a powerful x-ray generator we can not only take very fast and sharp images but capture them to computer and manipulate then to better highlight areas of interest.

This is not only much less polluting than using photographic films it also allows us to burn a disc of the images and give owners their own reference set.

As an example we can take an image of an average cat in 9 thousandths of a second and display it on screen 8 to 10 seconds later. Most of our patients require sedation or anaesthesia for positioning and this naturally reduces the time involved.

Barclay and Purdy
"So why not just boil them, Purdy?"

"Barclay!" Sigh." It's an X-ray not an eggs-ray!"

"It's a way of looking through things and their insides."

"Oh, Barclay. What am I going to do with you?"
